Who invented steady hand games

Using Economic And Industrial Understanding The advantage of using ready made circuits and fixtures and fitments. Especially hand to eye coordination.

Children need games or toys, which will develop their hand to eye coordination skills. Main Aims 1. To learn about basic electronics and product design.

To learn and practice woodwork joints. To learn how to shape and form metal. To learn about the different properties of wood and metal. Choosing appropriate tools and processes. Learning about the function of basic electronic components. The spreadsheet to organise material lists.

Requirements 1. Create a game with a friend where you take turns bending a course out of the wire and seeing how many times the other one sets off the light going through the course.

The Steady Hands Game is basically an electric circuit with a switch. In order for a circuit to work, electricity has to flow through it. Whenever the loop on the LED touches the bare copper wire, electricity can flow from the battery, through the LED, through the wire, and back to the battery, which turns on the circuit.

I introduced this project in my after school "Makerspace " class this fall as a follow up to Squishy Circuits and a challenging way to look at a simple circuit in a different way. It was so engaging that I have used it as the foundation for our entire 10 week term; and in the process, have introduced 3D modeling and printing, working with metal, soldering, building with cardboard, laser cutting and vinyl cutting all to create their own custom Steady Hand Games.

All of these skills are part of my Makerspace program, but usually taught in unrelated ways. Introduction: Steady Hands Game. By CMHouston Follow. More by the author:. About: More than 14 pulsating exhibits make the Children's Museum of Houston one of the top rated in the country. So, for our purposes, this design worked best.

But you may have other ideas - please share! We offer optional video segments of each step for this project in the actual exhibit. Here is a compilation of all the steps. A squiggly heart, a spiral and a blue sky cloud. All with lots of abstract bendiness to make the game harder. This is the coolest idea Anne! This is a great project!! Yes, just check that the voltage output is the same and that the pack fits in the box.

I had to use AAA to make it fit. Skip to content 96 shares. Subscribe for Email Updates.
